After earning her commission, Rhea served six months as a Command ensign on the California class USS Pasadena before being abruptly transferred with the vaguest orders in Starfleet history. Finding herself assigned to serve as the personnel aide to Vice Admiral Gracie Hammond, the eager young ensign was among the crew of the USS Missouri when the dreadnought disappeared.
